I'm sure we all yearn for that feeling of being a child again, and I'm no different. That feeling where you don't have to worry about bills or going to work or worrying about how your going to pay your next bill. Luckily for me I get the best of both worlds through my children.
A little more about me, I'm a 34 year old father of two beautiful girls. A beautiful baby girl who at the time of writing this will be celebrating her first birthday tomorrow (my how time flies, but what wonderful memories already racked up), and a 7 year old step daughter who is one of the most funniest, craziest, cutest people your ever likely to know.
Now I'm one of those cringeworthy, Adam Sandler type Dads who would do anything to embarrass my little girls, but of course all in a lighthearted, sweet kind of way. I like to think I'm a cool Dad who is down with all the hip 2K13 kind of lingo (although I'm not sure the 7 year old would agree lol although I'm still auditioning for xfactor contrary to what everyone else thinks :p)
Back to the post and the saying 'kids say the funniest things' couldn't be any more truer than for Grace (the 7 year old). She says the funniest things all the time and I'm sure she'll be a comedian when she's older, only today she came in from playing with her friends looking all sad and I asked her what was wrong and she replied "they started getting upset because I wouldn't give the earmubs back" (I'm sure we've all done something like that, reminds of when I was younger and the word discotheque which I would pronounce disco-the-cue lol), and Grace has many more funny and insightful ways of lighting up your day without even realising it. But all this reminds me that as much as I yearn to be a kid (and I'm the biggest kid you'll ever meet ;-)) there's nothing better than being that through the joys and ecstasy of your children hence the reason and inspiration behind this post.
